Requesting Images //
Faculty, staff and students at The University of the Arts may request new images for the University Archives and Special Collections. These images must be for the purpose of teaching and learning, and will be added to ARTstor.
VRC staff will try to purchase requested images from a vendor.
If the images are not available for purchase, they will be created in house.
When images are created in house, the requestor is responsible for providing
the VRC staff with the materials to be reproduced. The original images must
be of high quality, and have descriptive information (author, title, materials,
etc.) in order to be added to the collection.
To request images, first check ARTstor to make sure that the images you need are not already available. If you need help searching ARTstor, please contact VRC staff.
Fill out the image request form (also available in the VRC) and return it to the University Archives and Special Collections along with the material that you wish to reproduce. Be sure to include descriptive information for each image.
Most image requests can be filled in one to two weeks.
If you have questions about image requests or the University Archives and Special Collections, please contact VR staff.
