BORROWING FOR ALUMNI //
Alumni library privileges are for borrowing and access only. Alumni do not have off-campus access to the UArts Libraries subscription databases (i.e., anything that requires a log-in), and may not use interlibrary loan service or carry overdue fines. Alumni with an alumni ID (see below) may enter the library any time it's open. See library hours.
Alumni who meet the following criteria may take advantage of library privileges:
- Must have a UArts alumni ID card
- If you don't have an alumni ID, contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations at 215-717-6149 or see http://www.uarts.edu/alumni/benefits for more information on how to obtain an alumni ID.
- Must have returned all materials and paid all fines
- Must place a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card on file.
- The credit card on file is not used for fines, but only as a form of security should the library need to bill for unreturned materials. Overdue fines must be paid in-person with cash, credit card, or check (made out to The University of the Arts).
Alumni may check out up to 8 books or scores and 2 DVDs or CDs at one time. Should library materials be more than one month overdue, the UArts Libraries will use the credit card slip placed on file to bill you. Unreturned materials are billed at the minimum replacement fee of $115.00 ($100.00 minimum for the item plus a $15.00 processing fee). Patrons who have been billed in this manner will be denied future borrowing privileges.
|Circulating books, scores (8 max, 1 renewal)||3 weeks|
|Circulating videotapes, CDs, DVDs, LPs (2 max, no renewals)||7 days|
Library materials are university property and should be cared for accordingly.
Any overdue fines incurred must be paid in full in order to borrow again or renew materials.
Alumni may renew books and scores once. You can renew most materials yourself through my library record, or call the Greenfield Library (215-717-6280) or Music Library (215-717-6292).
